Putting Our Performance on the Line

The difference between WeighMaster™ overhead sizing and distribution systems and those of our competitors comes down to the little design details that really count. Our high-speed scale unit is just one example:

• The overhead scale weighs broilers within an accuracy of +/- 0.5 percent of true weight, 95% of the time.
• The scale unit is isolated from the track to significantly reduce the effects of vibration, with built-in overload protection also.
• A horseshoe weigh deck design enables direct weight transfer for improved accuracy at higher speeds.
• Crossed-shackle detection prevents weigh deck damage and downtime.
• Individually recorded shackle tare weights eliminate the need to use exact weight shackles.
• An extended entrance ramp minimizes product swinging and related recording errors.

The design features of the WeighMaster™ system's bird loaders and unloaders are also noteworthy:

• Automated unloaders are mounted downstream from the scale at desired drop point on the overhead line.
• Engineered specifically to interact with weighing shackles, the unloaders employ heavy-duty air cylinder rods for extended life and reduced upkeep costs.
• Dual guide bars minimize product swinging and assure reliable discharge for individual or group drops.
• Pre-set unloading of product in specified bins alternates to other bins when one is filled – without stopping or slowing the line.

Another special design feature of the WeighMaster™ overhead sizer includes through-beam resynchronization sensors that recount passing shackles and compensate for line stretch or uneven line wear, so drops will always activate at just the right moment. They're fully adjustable for quick, easy positioning.
